Barcelona Ready for Historic Fixture at Renovated Camp Nou over the weekend
Barça revealed they will play at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou over the weekend. They will welcome the Basque side in the Spanish league 30 months after they moved out so building work could begin.
“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Not all seats will be available though over 45,000 attendees are permitted inside under the licence granted. When completed, the stadium’s capacity will reach over 104,000 attendees, a rise from the old capacity. The club said recent additions comprise a renovated tunnel for players plus modern locker rooms.
Preparatory Events
Barça organized a fan-accessible workout at the Camp Nou earlier this month. They mentioned they are seeking authorization from European football’s governing body to host the next European match facing Eintracht in December at the stadium. Their recent games have been held at the Olympic Stadium.
