David Walliams lost his contract with longtime publisher.
Prolific young adult author and entertainer David Walliams is no longer with his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.
An official for the firm said: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing any new titles by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the conclusion was made after an investigation into reports of conduct deemed unsuitable directed at women.
The firm declined to specify the reasons for its decision, stating: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."
A Highly Successful Publishing History
Walliams stands as a most best-selling authors for kids, having sold over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in 55 languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins back in 2008.
Some of his books, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into television films.
He has published over four dozen titles altogether, which features a holiday title called *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins last autumn.
From Screen to Page
His career breakthrough occurred on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE in 2017 in recognition of his work for the charitable sector and arts community.
The publisher's decision comes after the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss last fall.
